Man Struck by Falling Branch

INVERCARGILL, Last Night. A fatality occurred in the HomerHollyford valley, on the Okura road construction work, shortly before noon to-day, when William. Caird, aged 47, a married man with five children, residing in Eye street, Invercargill, lost his life through the branch of a tree falling and killing him outright. Mr. Caird was employed by the Public Works Department ' in a bushfelling gang securing timber for roadconstruction purposes. An inquest will be held later.
