LEAGUE TOURISTS WIN
Australia Defeats York (Recoiived 23, 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 22. In the League match against York, the Australians won by 15 to 6, the score at. half-time being two all. The attendance was 5000. The Australians won the early scrums, but bad handling pulled up good bursts. Milner, for York, opened the scoring with a great goal from close on halfway. The Australians were frequently penalised for obsti-uction play, but when a penalty was awarded Australia Gilbert goaled to even the score. l'n the seeond lialf the Australians produced some fine xunning and passing. Norval, Gilbert and Collins scored for Australia, while Beaten aud Gilbert converted. Taylor added two penalty goals for York. The game, which started at 6 o'cloek in the evening ended almost at dark.
