FIVE TESTS TO BE PLAYED
Australian Cricket Tour of England MATCHES IN N.Z. (Received 23, 8.45 a.m.) SYDNEY, Sept. 22. Dr. Alan Robertson was to-day ananimously re-elected chairman of the Australian Board of Cricket Control. A letter was received from tho M.C.C., at the annual meeting to-day, thanking the board for the iine treatment of the last Euglish tcaiu, attil indicating that it might ask for the eurtailment of minor games, and also of entertainment, on future tours. The itinerary for thc Australian teani was approved by the meeting. The team will sail by ihe Orontes and will arrive-at Southarnpton on April 21. The first matcli will be against Worcester on April 20, and thereafter the Tests will be as follow: — First Test, June 10-14, at Nottinghamshiiv. Second Test, June 24-28, at Lbrd's. Third Test, July 8-12, at Manchester. Fourth Test, July 22-27, at Leeds. Fifth Test, August 20-25, at tho Oval. If necessary the Tests will be played out. Mr W. H. Jeanes, secretary of the Board of Control, was ^ppointed manager of the Australian touring team, but no treasurer is going with the team. The board deferred consideration until to-morrow of tho request of the New Zealand Cricket Council that the Australians should return via America and play a series of inatches with New Zealand. It also deferred consideration of the request that an Australian team should visit New Zealand in 193S-39.
