Conference with Dr. M. H. Watt Next Week COMMBSION'S FINDINGS ! The Hawke's Bay Hospital Board wiU confer next week with Dr. M. H. Watt, Director-General of Health, concerning the findings of the Royal Commission which sat reeently in Napier to investigate the administration of the Napier Public Hospital. Dr. Watt will amve in Hawke's Bay on Wednesday. _ Comments made by the DirectorGeneral on the Commission 's report were before the recent meeting of the Hospital Board, but it was then felt desirable to have a personal discussion with Dr. Watt before any decisions affecting the administration of tho hospital were agreed upon. Tlie chairman of the Hawke's Bay Hospital" Board, Mr C. Lassen, informed a reporter to-day that the conference with Dr. Watt would, of course, be held in committee, so that the various problems could be discusse.d with the utmost freedom. ' . . , A special meeting of the board willprobably be held following the conference, and this, Mr Lassen considered, should also be held in committee. "Nevertheless," he added, ' ' I COE" sider that the public is entitled to information concerning the board 's proposals and deeisions, and I shall suggest that, as soon as possible, a statement be isaued setting forth the boarjl's plans for the future."
