' WELLINGTON, This Day. Bobert Tennyson Bell, a dx'aper, Was fined £20 by Mr E. D. Mosley, S.M., on a charge of being intoxicated in charge of a car. Counsel said defendant was to-day completing his ninth year in a responsible position and was moving to a more responsible one. A number of friends foregathered to congratulated him aild, although not a drinking man, he couldn't refuse to drink on this OCcasion. ' ' The only way to deal with these intoxication cases is to put the fefir of consequences into the minds of mOtorists," said Mr Mosley, who said that, giving full weigkt to counsel 's statement, he would not impose fi term of imprisonment.
