CHINA'S APPEAL
Invitation to Australia to Join Committee new zealand~represented (Received 22, 12.35 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 21. The Associated Press special Geneva correspondent says that the Committee of Twenty-three to which Chiiia has appealed to the League was referred decided to invite Australia .Chirta. Japan and Oelmany to send rop'resentatives td its meetins. The decision to invite Australia was due to the Commonwealth's ptoximity to the seat of the conflict and to her vital interests in the Pacific. The invitation will be ilnlnediately transniitted to Mr 8. M. Brucd. wlio will forvvard it to Australia, wliere a decisioii do accept of reject it will be xnade. New Zealand, as a member of the i.eague Council. will be automatically represented by Mr W. J. Joi'diln on the committee#
