HARBOUR BOARD MEETING

Westshore-Port Access Road The monthly meeting of the Napier Harbour Board was held yesterday. Present: Messrs. T. M. Geddis (chairman), A. E. Jull, R. McLean, C. L. Gordon, H. R. Peacock, E. J. Herrick, E. "VVilliams, P. F. Higgins R. D. Brown, L. Btephenson and J. Barker. Leave of absence was granfcetj Messrs. N. P. Eriksen and W. Richmond. The proposal to widen the West-shore-Port Ahuriri access road was before the board, and it was decided not to accede to a request by $ie Hawke's Bay County Couneil to contribute £150 towards the cost of the work. Members considered that the proposal, which it turned down in 1933, was outside its scope of work.
