HASTINGS HARRIER CLUB
Invitation Pack Run The Hastings ITarrier Club held its weekly run from the residence' of Mr and Mrs A. M, Robertson, "Bute," Pakowhai road. The runners were divided into two packs, and the cousre of aboub six miles led along Pakowhai road to the Poplar Avenue, tlience across eountry -to the river bank. This was followed for about two miles. tho trail then leading back across the paddocks to the Oak Avenue extension, which was followed for a mile. The eourse now turned towards home, eventually coming out at the back of Robertson's orehard, thence pack to the starting point. At the conclusion of the run memhers were the cuests of Alr and Mrs Robertson at afternoon tea. "Ihe result of the run-in was as follows : — Fast pack: A. Taylor 1, I. Dyer 2, H. E. Taylor 3. SJow pack: N. Taylor 1, R. Clark 2, E. Heaton 3. The trail was laid by A. Robei'tson and S. Coles. Nexfc Saturday the club will hold its annual Napier-Hastinga road * race, which is the final run for the season. This race is an open handicap event, and intending competitors are asked to hand their entries in to the secretary immediately. '
