MONTAGUE SHOW TO-NIGHT
"Let's Go Places," tho spectacular and lively London success, will be the opening production at the Hastings Municipal Theatre to-night of Sir Benjamin Fuller's Montagjue Show. Many brilliant -performers will be seen in this pombination, wbich had. an amazing success in London, and the original producer, Mr Lewis Marks is travelling with the stars to produce the show in AUstralia and New Zealand. Ono of the principal performers will be tlio English comedian, George Doonan. He is well known in the West End as a famous representative of the modern school of "dress-suit" comedians. The leading lady and comedienne will be charming • Barbara Vernon, a young American actress who made a remarkable personal success in the name part of "No, No, Nanette," when that musical comedy was revived at the London Hippodrome last year. She was at one time a dancer in the American variety act of Russell, Maroom, and Vernon. When the producer, Jack Waller, starred her in "No, No, Nanette," several London critics declared that she was a real discovery. One of the most original and fascinating acts ever to be seen on this side of tht world is the Darmora Ballet of 12 beautiful Hungarian girls. This is under the direction of Madame Darmora herself. These young ladies have a special clause inserted in the contract stating that the entirp balJet must be returned to Budapest as they have an important engagiement to fill in the Hungarian capital next season. Other porformors will be The Two Kogues, eomedy speeialty act, aml Jiiuiny Jowell aud Ben Harris, English comediuns. The Two Rogues are knock-about dfincers who
have been featured in many British films, including "Brewster's Millions," with Jack Buehanan, and "Evergreen" starring Jessi© Matthews. There. will also be the Daivn Sisters. American eccentric dancers, and the Blenders, an outstanding male quartet. The revue, "Let's Go Places," is .well named, because in it the whole company literally "go places," using a huge ocean-going liner to do so. Tho Montague Revue. Company will he something eutirely new in spect'-acle, talent, humour and all the other elements that go to make up tho sort (vf show that London's West End loves, Tlie box plan is at Fail's. There will be no matinees during the season.
