H.B. SPRING SHOW
» t • 4 The Kennel Classes The canine section of a show is always an interesting one, for dogs have their admirers in plenty. All dogs for exhibition belong to a canine aristocracy. There is no getting into the charmed eircl-o of a dog show without a pedigree, and as with Pekinese, Scotch Terriers, •etc., the shorter the dog the longer the pedigree; in fact a Pekinese turns up liis nose at dogs wko have not got a pedigree going. baclc to the time when the Great Wall of China was built. But the breeds of dogs are many and all have their devotees, and one dog may , win as many prizes at a show as a Scottish dancer. The Kennel Section of the Hawke's Bay Spring Show is printed separately from the main schedule, and this separato schedulo and list of special prizes may be obtaincd from the seerotary, Box 145, Napier, from Mr F. C. Wilkinson, Queen strcet, Hastings, or Mr J. A. Town&end, 816 Lyell street, Hastings. ; Entries for all classes close on Wednesday, September 29, at tho society V office, Quecn street, Hastings.
