THE MONTAGUE SHOW

"Let's Go Places," the spectaeular and livelv London success, will be tho opening production at the Hastings Miunicipal Theatre on Monday nignt of Sir Benjamin Fuller's Montagiie Show. Many brilliant performers will be seen * in this combination, which had an amazuig success in London, and the original producer, Mr Lewis Marks is travelling with the stars to produce the show m Australia and New Zealand. One of the principal performers will be the English comedian, George Doonan. He is well known in the West End as a famous representative of the modern school of "dress-suit" eomedians. Tho 'leading lady and comedieiine will be charming Barbara "vernon, a young American actress who made a remarkable personal success in the name part of "No, No, Nanette," when that iausical comedy was revived at the London Ilippodrome last year. Slie was at one time a dancer in the American variety act of Russell, Marcom and Vernon. When the producer, Jack > aller, starred her in "No, No, Nanette," several London critics declarpd that she was a real discovery. One of the cnost original and fasciuating acts ever to be seen on this -side of tho world is the Darmora Ballet of 12 beauful Hungarian girls. This is under tlio (lirection of Madame Darmora hcrself. These young Judies have a spccial clause inserted in the contracts slating that the entire ballet must be returned to Buiidapest as Ihcy have au linporlant eiigagement to fill in tho Hungarian capilal next season. Tho uallet are bringing with them all their own costumes which arq estimated to be worth £16,000. Other performers will be The Two Rogues, comedy specialty act, and Jimray Jewell and Ben Harns, English eomedians. The Two Rogues are knock-about dancers who have beeu featured in many British films, including "Brewster's Millions" with Jack Buchanan, and "Evergreen," starring Jessie Matthews. There will also be the Dawn Sisters, American eccentric dancers, and The Blenders, an outstanding male quartet. Tho revuo "Let's Go Places" is welinamed because in it the whole eompany litrally "go pJaces," using a huge ocean-goingfi liner to do so. The Moutague Revue Gompany will be something entirely new in spectacle, talent, hum-our and all the other elements that go to make up the sort of show that ljondon's West End loves. Tho box plan is at FaiPs. There will be no matinocR during the season.
