HAWKE'S BAY SPRING SHOW
Pigs and Poultry Section Tho bacon and eggs, or rather the pigs and poultry, section of the Hawke's Bay Spring Show is one which makes a strong appeal to tlie of the two settions may be said to provide the world's i'avourito brcakpublic, and certainly the conibination fast disli. Pig-breeding, as an adjunct to dairying, with a view to encouragmg an export trade in porlc, is now looked upon as providing just that extnt amount to tbe family larder necessary to niake dairy-farming pay. Tbe export of eggs may some day assume the proportions of a payable industry, but if tlie distribution of eggs more evenly duriug the year can be arranged it should be some time before tbe New Zealand market is oversupplied. Tbe classes px-ovided for both pigs and poultry are as fully cotnhensive as cou'ld be wished for. Entries lor all classes close on Wednesday, September 29, at the society' s office, Church Lane, Napier, or at Mr F. C. Wilkinson's office, Queen street, Hastings.
