.GISBORNE, This Day. Gisborne is' thronged for to-day 's Rugby match between the Springboks and the combined Poverty Bay-Bay of Plenty-East Coast team. The weather is perfect; bright sunshine is tempered by a southerly breeze. Tho ground benefitted by showers during the week, but may be on the hard side. When the gates opened at nine o 'clock a fair crowd had assembled, and by the time the first of the three eurtain-rais-ers commenced an hour later the number of spectators had swelled considerably. Curtain-Raiser. In tho curtain-raiser to the Springboks matfeh to-day, Gisborne Marist junior defeated Napier Marist by 18 points to 5.
