TAKE HEART AND SING
Take heart and sing, O pilgrim soul, Though distant yet the longed-for goal: A world where love and brotherhood Evolve in universal good, And beauty permeates the whole. No niggard hand shall scatter dole But plenty flow from pole to pole. Earth shall rejoiice, and nationhood Take heart and sing. O let not Love's deep tides grow shoal: Nor darkened Hope's bright aureole; Lilce flowers of spring in field and wood Be faith renewed, be fear witkstood. Though Kingdoms crash and war-clouds roll, Take heart and sing. — Lilian Loveridge.
