OTANE, Last Night. The Otane Women 'is Institute's annual spring flower show held in the Town Hali yesterday was from every point of view an outstanding success. There was a noticeable increase in the number of exhibits and. all available space was taxed to the utmost. The president, secretary and stewards had a very busy time receiving and arrangmg the exhibits for judgmg. Weather conditions iately had been favourable for plant growth. resulting in a wonderfut display of particularly choice blooins, with. keen competition in every class. The cookery, needlework and home industries sections attracted large entries of a very high standard. A pleasing feature was the children 's section. Both iu quanuty and quality of exhibits this class excelled the commendable eft'orts of previous years. An attractive entry that excited much admiration was a display of needlework done by the children of St. Hilda's Home, revealing much artistie ability. There was a good attendance of the pnblic throughout the afternoon, and the president, who prcsented the prizes, thanked the pnblic and exhibitors 011 behalf of the institute for the generous support accorded all sections of the show.
