WELLINGTON, Last Night. interesting ipformation concefning the Faiv Eents Act, also the cpllection of arrears of wages on behalf of workers„ was given by the acting- Minister of Lahour, Hon. B. C- Webb, iq an interview to-day. Mr Webb gave the following summary, indicatin'g the' extent to which tenants liad availed themselves of the services of the Labour Department in connection with proceedings under the Act: — Total number of applications received, 3133; agreements as to rent payable approved by inspection, 832; cas'es taken to Court and rent rcdueed, 146; rent justified, 146; tenants ropresented by an inspoctor in evjction proceedings, 145; other cases, 1902.
