' ■ ' ■■ t- w w — • To-night's Big Function To-night the Assembly Hall, Hastings. will be the scenc of much gaioty with the holding of the National Ball, and indications point to it being oue of tho notable evenls of the dancing oeason. The committee has done everytliing that could possibly be desired to give those attending a wonderful night of fun. and jollity, and with the inelusion of both modern and old-timo dancing, and also of facilitiee for cards for non-dancers, everyone is being catered for. Lew Munro 's orchestra will provide the music, and dancers are assured of an excellent progranune. The ball provides an opportunity also of ineeting soine of the Springbok players, as several have accepted the invitation to be present, and the function, therefore, will be a very fitting wind-up to a mcihorable day.
