The forgery charge related to a cheque for £38 signed by W. Barton and endorsed by E. Gray and payable to E. Gray at Featherston. The other charges rt»lat» ed to obtaimng money from Thomas Coltman, Grand Hotel, Wellington, .lohn Herciiius Farghcr, Napier, clotbing and money with a cheque for £23, and C. W. Mcrrylees, Club Hotel, Dannevirke.
