FAT SHEEP VALUES
One Spring Lamb Brings 40/ewe hogget 49/A yarding of over 1000 fat slioep was enade at Stortford Lodge to-dny, and the markot, except olf extra priine heavy pens, was slightly easier on lute rates. Ewes predominated the pens, including a iarge number which had been drafted out of the broeding docks. Heavy wothers brought 46/-, with Ughter peus down to 35/-. The first spring lamb of the season was oifered when a nicely-grown entry at about 32 lbs., on accounfc of Mr, W. Sinclair, of Mahora, sold at 40/-. On account of Mr W. Sinclair, Mahora, a single spring lamb, which should kill at about 32 lbs., was sold at 40/- to tho Hawke's Bay Butchery Co. An exceptional hand-raised extraprime ewe hogget, particularly well woolled, roaliscd 49/«, An entry of prime medium to heavy owes, vvhi'h will cllp well, sold at 37/0. A pen of 12 prime Southdown cross hoggets, averftging 38 lbs., sold 6 1 27/9. A small entry of exlrn tiouVy tiriine wcll-woOlled ewes sold to 45/-.
