Young Married Man Drowned

GISBORNE, Last Night. Caught in the llooded Waiapu river yesterday afternoon, Thomas Lima, married, aged 23, was swept from hia horse and drowned, Deceased successi'ully erossed the river in the morning, and was attempting to return later when the river had risen two feet. His sister saw him in diffjculties, and the horse later lloundered from the river withoub the rider. A search resulted in the body being found near the mouth of Ihe river an hour later.
