G, Butchers, principal of the Correspondence School, and Mr. R. G. Eidling, director of Wellington Technical College, on the education of the crippled child. The vocational training faeilities offered .by technical schools were outlined, and it was felt that if the Crippled Children Society vouhl avail itself of theso faeilities, there would be no nocd for the establishment of special training centres for crippled children only. | Samples of the work done by cor[respondence was shoAvn by Dr,

A copy of a letter which had been received from the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association, re swimmiug exereises in tho after treatitient of infantile paralysis by the Director-General of Health, was read. The opinion of various orthopaedic specialists had been obtained, and all these had agreed that in suitable cases exereises of this nature would be mOst valuable. . It is suggested that brauchos of the Crippled Children Society arrange with local branches of tho New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association to discuss the neeesaary details; and that cases recommended by branches for such trOatment be first referred to the medieal referee committee for advice.
