Board To Advertise In Australia STAFFING DIFFICULTIES Difficulties in obtainlug trained nurses which liavo affected ihe stafflng of the Hastingis and Napier liospitals for some time past, lrave led the Hawke's Bay Hospital Board to eousider advertising in Australia for statf nurses. Providing that the question of registration permits of this course, this procedure will be followed. A report to yesterday'« board meeting from the finance and supplies oommittee ohce more emphasised the difficulty of obtaining trained staff. It was reported that at present there is a shortage of four staff-nurses at the Hastings Memprial Hospital, and 12 at the Napier Public Hospital. The cominittee recommended that the Nurses' and Midwives' Regdstration Board l;e uotified that it is the intention of the board to advertise in Australia for staff-nurses, and requested for information as to whether the registration of successful applicanta would be facilitated by bhe Kenistration Board.
