Xbc Morning Post's correspondent at Helsingfors says that 1 Eussia has begun a big drive to expand her Air Force in the Far East, and is rushing daily consignments of the latest bombing type of machine. The newspapers openly claim that Russian pilots will soon have no difficulty in laying Tokio and Osaka in ruins. It is feared in official Japanese circles tliat Russia will shortly jojn China against Japan. German staff officers are reported to have arrived at Tokio to instruct the Japanese in defence frotn air attacks, while the two nations are negotiating tp strengthen their pact against Bolshevism. Meanwhile, the Soviet is.immediately beginning to build fast single-engined bombers under licence from the American Vultee Corppration, which will supply supervisory engineers. A great engine faetory is hurriedly being built on the outtkirts of Moscow, and a second faetory, specialising in sea-planes of American design, is under construction on the shores of the Black Sea.
