Open Tournament Completed

WAIPAWA, This Day. The annual open tournament of the Waipawa Ladies ' Golf Club was played on the Waipawa links on Saturday, the weather being perfect for the occasion. Entries were exceptionally good, and the course was in perfect condition, with the exception of two holes, which had been affccted by the recent flooding. A most enjoyable day was spent, and the tournament was oue of the uiost suc-cessful held by the club. The results yere as follow:— Open championship. — Miss J. Speedy (Hunter Koso Bowl and trophy).; ^unner-upi Miss A. Tareha. Club tournament championship. — Mrs Strang (Otane Cup and trophy). Senior medal round. — Miss Speedy. Junior medal round. — Miss Power. Senior bogey round. — Miss Speedy. Junior bogey round. — -Mrs Goodwin. At the conelusion of the day 's play a hearty vote of thanks was accorded the ladies" for the sumptuou's lunch ^ and afternoon tea which had been provided, and to Messrs N. J. McKay and S. W. Strang for their help with the scoreboard.
