"Substance" was the subject of the ivesson-f rmon in all Churclies of Christ, on Sunday, September 12. The Golden Text was I Ohr:n. 29:11, "Thine, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty." Among the eitations which comprised tlie Lesson-Sermon were the folJowing lrom the Bible, "I know that whatsoever God doeth, it shall bo for ever: nothing can be put to it, 1101* any thing taken from it; and God doeth it that men should i'ear before him. For the invisible tliings of him from the creation of the world aro clearly seen, beijig understood by the things that are made, pveu his eternal power and Codhcad." (Eccl. 3:14 Rom, 1:20). Also tlie following passeges from the Cliristian Science tcxtbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scripturcs'' by JMary Baker Eddy. "Tlie universe reflects an expresses the divine substance of Mind ; therefore God is seen only in the spirituql universe nnd spiritual man, as the sun is seen in the ray of light which goes out from it " (p-300)
