PROSPECTS OBSCURE
London Wool-Sale Serie's CROSSBREDS WILL BE WANTED (Received 13, 8.45 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 11. It has been seldom more diffieult to estimate the probable - demand " at the London wool saies. Bradford 's purchases will be governed by it-s immediate requjrements more than any thing else. Many firms fairly well stoeked with tops may be disinclined to operate. The Continental demand is as obscure as that of Bradford. Some' Bradford merchants expect to drop 5 per cent. on merinos as compared with the July series. Others think 10 per cent. will be nearer the' mark, in ord.er to bring prices into line with Bradford 's quotations for merino tops. The demand for crossbreds is expected to be good, as the stocks of all consuming c.ountries are low. Some speeulative saies in Soutli America from the sheep 's back are reportcd in London. Fine "crossbreds will probably open 5 per cent. ckeaper than in July, but no change is expected .with regard to other qualities. •.
