FILM ACTOR'S TACTFUL WIFE
Mrs. Lloyd Hughes, wife of tho star of Cinesound's "Lovers and Luggers," is a tactful little lady, as evidenced by an incident at a dan-ce at the Paddington Town Hall, Sydney, the other night, whon she probably eaved a young man considerable embarrassment. Hughes did not dance, having hurt his ioot in a "stage" fight with Bonald Whelan^ but Mrs. Hughes was aniong the dancers. During a Paul Jones, a new partner whom she had not met was evidently c-ager to discuss the guest-of-honour. . IIo began conversation with the bright inquiry:' "Well, what do you think of our film, star?" "Oh," eaid Mrs. Hughes promptly, "I think lie's swell. You see, I mar•icd him." According to his wife, says Lloyd .lughes, that is where the conversation emlcd, but know licr discrction he 'i.s not so surc.
