Annual Meeting oi Club Members SEASON'S RIGHT PROSPECTS
Tlie annual meeting of the Kia Toa Bovvlirig Club toolt place recently. I'rior to the anuual meeting, the club held a .special general meeting, for the purpose of rearranging the finances of the club. The meeting heartily endorsed the action of the executive in putting the finanees of the club on a sound basis. and when finally put to the meeting was carried unanimously. The annual meeting then followed presided over by Mr D.. H. Doak, the president. Tliere was an attendanco ot 42 memhers. The report and balance-sheet were placed before the meeting. Mr A. D. Ross, in moving tlieir adoption, congratulated the executive on the general management of the club's afJ'airs, the liabilities being reduced by £50 after meeting all current expenses, This mofcion was seconded by Mr J. fclill and carried unaniniously. The eiectiou of the ofiicers resulted: Patrou, Mr ii. M. Campbell ; president, Mr N. J. xV.datusou vice-presi-dent Mr E. W. Bissell ; secretary, Mr A. Sykes ; treasurer, Mr R. llollever ; executive, Mcssrs W. E. Godber, It. C. Somervell, B. E. lngram, H. J. Grieve, E. Pidgeon ; ciassification committee, Messrs E. W. Bissell A. W. Simpson, W. E." Godber; Saturday selection committee, Messrs A. D. Ross, H. Fenwick, Q. Cooper ; Thursday selection committee, Messrs D. H. Doak, J. Coxon, H. J. Grieve; sole selector Mr A. D. Ross; coach, Mr E. W. Bissell ; auditor, Mr B. E. lngram; press secretary, Mr A. W. Simpson. Tlie jlmior singles tropliy was presehted to the winner, Mr E. E. Rixon, and he was lieartiiy congratulated by all members. Ihe balance of the coiqpetition reached the linal stages but have uow been declared otf. A general discussion took place on Centre activities. This club favours a general systcni of inter-club games on the home and home principle, and would welcome co-operation from other c-lubs. In the New Year and Easter touruaments the club would welcome a chauge. Several new members were elected. The coiiiing season gives eiery prospect of being a successful oue.
