New typcs of Italian and Gemian subsidies for overseas commerce are seriously menacing British and Ameriean trade in the Argentine, declares an Anglo-Argentine Bureau comniunique. It points out that Germany is securing an increasing share of LatinAmcrican marlcct by, underselling British goods. Italian woollens are challenging British; German firms are obtaiuing important Public Works contracts; and German light-car saies in the Argentine exceeded British in 1936 for' tho first time.
