Mr M. F. Wbitelaw, of Whangarei, is visiting Napier. J Mrs. H. D. Mace, of Hastings, left tbis morning on a visit to Auckland to • see ber motber, wbo is seriously ill. Mrs J. Finlayson, of Wellington, wbo bas been staying in Napier, left yesterday for Dannevirke, wbere sbe will be staying before returning to Wellington. Sister Gladys, wbo bad been Deaconess of St. Andrew's Church, Hastings, for any years, and wbo bas been appointed to St. David's Chur5h, Auckland, left Hastings tbis morning for the Soutb Island on a boliday visit before taking up ber new duties. Tbere was a large crowd of well-wisher,s at tbc railway station tbis morninsr to bid ber farewell.
