MRS. JAMES HALIBURTON

Mrs Marion Jane Haliburton, one ot the pioneer sefctlers of the Mohaka district-, passed away at Napier recently at tho age of 69 years. Mrs Haliburton was the wil'e of Mr James Haliburton, of Glenfarg Station, Kotemaori, and a daughter of the late Mr and Mrs John Siin, of Mohaka. With tlie exception of eight years, she spent her whole life in the Mohaka district and had an extensive knowledge of tho eariy pioneeriug days and also the events leading up to the Maori settlement at Mohaka. Mrs Hamilton leaves, oesides hei husband, two sons, Mcssrs Thomas and J ohu Haliburton, of Kotemaori, two 1 daughters, Mrs J. B. 1. Cook, ot WelI luigton, and Miss Jean Haliburton, of Kotemaori, oue sister, Mrs J. Denton, of Nuhaka, and oue brother, Mr G. Bim, of Te Papapa, Onehunga.
