No One-sided Propaganda

WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Government's attitude on the question of broadcast talks, debates and discussion was defined in a stateraent by the Prime Minister, the Rt. • Hon. M. J. Savage. * "It must be understood," he said, "that the broadcasting authorities are responsible for all broadcast tfansmisI sions and cannot delegate this respontsibiliiy to any organisation. ' ; It had been deeided that in only very special cases would talks be broadcast as emanating from particular organisations. Although one-sided propaganda would not be permitted, it was intended to arrange debates and discusisions on inatters deemed to have sufficient interest and community value. Any' talks broadcast rnust be cousidered 011 their merits in relation to their programme value.
