HIGH SCHOOL OLD PUPILS HOLD JOLLY ANNUAL RE-UNION BALL

t. - — ■ — A particularly jolly evening yas enjoyed by all wbo wero present last evening at the nintli annual reunion ball organxsed by tbe Hastings High Sebool Old Pupils' Association, wbicb was beld in the Hastings A'ssembly Hall. Gay deoorations gave a touch of colour to tbe ball. At intervals round tbe ivalls were clusters of bamboo inteimingled witli brigbt paper poppies and forming a frieze wns a \vide bluo streamer witb narrow scallops of orange and lemon. Overbead^tbe stago xvas a largie replica of tbe scbopl badge and ffbm tbis were radiated streamers in red and blue. tbe scbool colours. Along tbo front of t^te stage were a variety of palms and bowls of spring bulbs. Mr G. B. Wilkinson was in charge oi' tbe' ball deoorations. An -especially delicious ' supper was enjoyed, tbe tablcs in tbe suppei-rooin baving bcen artistically deeorated by Mrs W. Wright witb tall. vases of camellias, flowcring currant, japonica and inaidenbair fcrn. Tbe long centre t^blo was carried out in pink sliades witb a table deeorated in red on eitber side.
