EXHIBITION HOUSE
Christie's Unique Proposal
An exhibition homel What a phrase to conjure with! How many are there ■ of us who have nqt at some time or other had visions of just how we would build equip and furnish a home? How many are there who would welcome the opportunity of seeing such a, home all ready for occupation rigjit down to the -food in tho larder and the evening paper on the doorstep? Messrs Christie's plan'to make Bpch a thing a reality is rapidly taking shape and the enterprisiug idea has brought forth a treuiendous amount, of congratulatory eomment. This is the first time in New Zealand that such a echeme has been launched and the fact that it is being done by a Hastings firm is worthy of special note. Already numerous local firmg, who are so taken witk tho idea have shown their desire to co-operate in this unusual but highly commendable departure from the prdinary business methods, and there is little doubt whatever that in the matter of electrio lighting, latest plumbing devices, ironmongry, window fittings and various house accessories the exhibition home will bo very coipplete. The site in Havelock Nortli has already been settled upon and the plans for the house are ueariu^ completion. The ideas for furnisliihg: are now being formulated, and it is hoped to have this ^exhibition home complete ifl every deta.il by December, There is no doubt tlie completion oi Christie's exhibition home is being awnited with very unusual interest.'—' P.B.A.
