Announcement Probable On September 30.

AUCKLAND, Last Night. It was probable that the main principles of the National Party's policy would be made public at the annual eonferonce in Wellington on September 30, said the Leader of the Opposition, the Hon. Adam Hamilton, in an interview. The process of drawing up the policy had taken a long timo, Mr Hamilton continued, and there was still a good deal to be done. The party wished it to be a true expression of members' opinions, and felt tliat tlie day when policies could be enuiiciated by a central body 011 its Own authority Slioiild now be iar paet. All supporters had boen invited to send in suggestionS, and these had been received in shoals and sifted with the utmost care. The Dominion council of the party and its Parliamentary caucus had been colla* borating in the task, and would continue to do so. Some titne would elapse befftre all details cOuld be anrtounced, but he believed that at or after the am nuaRDominiou conference it Would be possible to make scme of the basic priUciples knoWn. "My travels about the Dominioa have shown me that politics are arousiug a wider and deeper intefest at present than they have for very mady years," remarked Mr Hamilton. "Tho Labour Government is making history, and people cVerywhefe are foriding opinions about it, not all of theui favourable to Labour. The National Party oll'ers itself as a channei of political expression for all those who do not support the present Governinent. "
