COSY THEATRE
"magnificent obsession" "Magnificent Obsession," with Irone Dunue and Robert Taylor in the featured roles, commences a special return season at the Cosy Theatre to-night. Those who saw this film on its previous sereening were loud in their praise for it, and those who missed it on that occasion are strongly advised to see the present sereening. It is an inteusely hunian story packed with interest and drama. Primarily, the story deals with the romanee of Miss Dunne, portraying a beautiful young bride, and Taylor, delineating a wastrel scion of a wealthy family. The climax of the story comes six years later, in a series of events filled with heart-rending tenderness, culminating a sweetly poigant love drama such as rarely reaches the screen. The large cast supporting Miss Dunne and Taylor in "Magnificent Obsession" includes Charles Butterworth, Betty Purness, Sara Haden, Ralph Morgan, Henry Armetta, Gilbert Emery and Arthur Treacher. Also sereening is the film of the SpringboK v. New Zealand Second Test, which is double the length of the provincial match films and is accompanied by a running commentary.
