TECHNICAL O.B. DANCE IS GAY NAPIER EVENT
Decorated in their club colours of red grey and gold, the Foresters' Hall, Nupier', presented a gay scene last uight when the Napier Technical Old Boys Football Club held their annual ball. Festoons of streamers of red grey and gold, interspersed witli hangilig baskets of. asparagus fern, adorned the ceiling, where tlie three centre lights were effectively lattice-shaded in the same colourulgs. Hanging streamers covered the walls of the hall, roUnd Which jvere placed sinail macracapas iu green tubs. .The orchestra stage, where Les Henry's orchestra played the latest popular music, was massed with pots oi cinerarias and oyclamen. The front of the stage was curtained with coloured streamdrs and suspended oveir the archestra Was a replica in black of a large football on which was emblazoned in large glitterifig silver letters "Technidal Old Boys". ' The supper room was canopied with streamers of the same hue, and the iong tables on which were arrayed many tempting delieacies, were decorated with vases of gold Iceland poppies arranged with foliage and alternated with miniature pot palms, the whole effect ■being very deiightfui. UpStairs the lounge was Cosily furnished and tastefully decorated with bowls of poppies and spring tiowers and looked most attractive.
