Visit To Australia Next Year ONE HAWKE'S BAY PLAYER

AUCKLAND, Last Night. A decisioa to aecept an invitation from Australia to send a team to the inter-Stato carnivul to be held in Australia next August was reached at a meeting of deiegates of the New Zealand Basketball Association. Mrs H. D. Muir, president of the association, was appointed as manager and coach and Mre Bain Challis was made iirst-aid ofiicial to the team. lt was also decided that Mrs lt. C. Mcinnes should accompany the team. The following team has been chosen: — Forwards: J. Wilson (Wellington), M. Tangye (Auckland), L. Mehaffey (Southland), E. Howard (Wellington). "Centres: M. Ma'rtin (Auckland), M. Howe (Wellington), E. Neame (.Southland), F. Southern (Canterbury). Defence: J. Mitchell (Wellington), E. Sinclair (Otago), M. Matangi (Auckland), R. Butcher (Hawko's- Bay).
