IN SPANISH PRISON
Missing English Airman FRIENDS NOTIFIED (Received 6, S.45 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 5. Mr. Rupert Bclville, the wealthy English amateur airman, for whose sifety coneern was fcH, has definitely informed friends that he is in prison at Gijon. He is quite safe, and is being well treated. Mr. Belville was ordered at the point of a revolver to fly a Spanish Government leader from Santander to Gijon. Mr. Belville arrived at Santander with a sherry shipper, Ricardo Gonzales to participate in celebrations marking (he fall of the city, tut the announeoment of tlie fall was premature. One account says that they landed at Santander cheering for General Franco. Scnor Gonzales, after Mr. Belville 's depoHure, was Tobbcd of his pao?rs and mouey. He was then liberatcd and returned to Sian Scbastian.
