SPILT INK CLUB HOLDS MONTHLY MEETING
The September meeting of the Hastings branch of the Spilt Ink Club. .was held in the G.F.S. rooms on Thursday evening. Each member read a paper ou character delineation, which showed remarkable. diversity of talent and later helpful criticism of each article was givcn, It was suggested that a letter of sympathy be sent to Mrs J. W. Bates, who has been preveuted i'rom attending the last few meetings by reuson of her long illness. Owing to the emall attendance, it was decicled to iel cach niembor choose his owu theme for the next meeting. The meeting closed early, after delicinus ncfrosiinients had been handed round by 1^3 iViies.
