WELLINGTON, Last Night. Quick scoring in the last ten minutes gavo the home team victory by 17 points to 10 in the Wellington- Tarumuu mter-provincial Rugby ruatch at Athletic Park, Wellington, on Saturday. Only about 2000 people watched the game, the conditions being cold, wet and windy with the ground greasy and the ball heavy and hard to liold. Taranaki, took a strong olfensive throughout the first spell and ran up a lead of ten to three at half-time. Tuey did not score again. Wellington, attacking hard with their forwards, early obtained a try. Then, with seveu j minutes to go. Wellington scored a penalty goal and two more tries, establishing a comfortable advantage in a spectacular finish. George and O'Dowda scored tries for Taranaki, Ross converting both, and Pringle, Guy and Burns (2) scored tries for Wellington, Griffiths converted one and Todd kicked a penalty goal. .
