LANE CUP POSTPONED
The sodden condition of sports grounds in Napier affected a number of codes on SatuTday. The Lane Cup Rugby series, the first Tound of which was to have been played on that day, was abandoned through rain. This competition will be continued on Saturday, September 18, and Saturday, September 25. The junior Rugby Swain Cup, tlia final of the third grade competition and th© f oiirth grade Loxnag • Cup matches, which were to be played at Hastings on Saturday, were all postponed.
