Opposition to Double Roadway Upposition to the commencement of the scheme for a double roadway on the Marino Parade, Napier, will be made by Cr. A. H. P. Mayue at the monthLv meeting of the Napier Borough Comicil on Monday evening. At the last meeting of the councii it was decided to go ahead with the construction of as mucb of the double roadway as the iunds avaiiable will permit. On Monday evening, howsver, alternative notices of motioa will be" made by Cr, Mayne as follows: — (1) "That a double roadway be not formed along the Marine Parade, and that the councii proceed with the parade improvement scheme as decided subjectto this alteration.'' (2) "That the formation of the double roadway along the parade be delerrecf for a period of six months."
