OBITUARY
MR. EDWARD HARMSTON A well-known and highly respected identity of Waipukurau and Napier in the person of Mr Edward Hannston, passed away at Napier yesterday morning. The late Mr Harmston was born at Lincoln, England, in 1845 and was. a freeman in the city of Lincoln. He came to New Zealand in the vessel Mary Sliephard, in 1873. being sent out from his firm to Messrs lteid and Gray, wheel wrights, Oamaru. The deeeased came to Napier in 1885, later joining the New Zealand railways and being transferred to Waipukurau, where he resided for 45 years. To mourn their loss are a widow, one son, Mr Michael Edward Harmston, of Waipukurau, and one daugliter, Mrs M. R. Luke. of Napier, eight grandcliildien, and two great-grand-children, and the sympathy of a wide circle of friends will be extended to the family in their sad bereavement.
