EOTOEUA, Last Night. The annual tournament for the New Zealand Golf Veterans' Cup which is at present in progress on Arikikapakapa course, Eotorua, to-day xeached the semi-final stages. Eighty-six veterans representing clubs in all parts of the Dominion, are participating, the ininimum age limit being 55. In the semi-finals to-day, A. W. Downer (Eotorua) b'eat H. T. Gillies (Hamilton) 2 and 1, and D. McCormick (Auckland) beat Y. C. Keys (Eotorua) 3 and 2. Downer and McCormick will meet in the final to-day. In the second division in which the second 32 to qualify participated, S. Powdrell (Wanganui) and W: SomersetSmith (Napier) have reached tihe final. The trophy for this division is the Arikikapakapa cup. .The tournament has been played under favourable weather conditions, marred only by occasional showers.
