Waipukurau Car Strikss Train OCCL'PANTS ESCAPE LIGHTLY

WAIPUKUBA.U, This Day. The Euataniwha street railway crossing at Waipukurau was the scene of a collision last night at a.bout 8.30 o 'clock, when a car driven by MrxS. Smith, of Farm rogd, Waipukurau, who was travelling with a party of two others^ came into forcible contact with an incoming gopds train frqm Napier, The train was slowlng up at the time r/ith a view to stopping at the watertanks just south of the crossing. Fortuiiately nonq of the three occupants of the' car sustqined seripus injury.
