Mr. Savage Denies Rumoured Appointment (Beceived 2, 8,45 a.m.)' APIA, Sept. 1. It is reported here that Mr J, O'Brien, M.P. for Westland, who was a member pf tliq goodwill mission, is arriviug in Beeeuiber a3 Administrator, "The report that the Government had appointed Mr O'Brien as Administrator of Samoa was denied qutright by the Prime Minister at Christchurch last night. Mr Savago emiihasised that, in the opinion of the Government, the worlc being done in Samoa by tha acting-Administratoi, Mn A, C. Turnbnll, was quite satisfactory. ' I There is no truth whatever in the suggestion that Mr O'Brien is going to Samoa as Administrator,'* said Mr Savage. "The question of such an appointment has not even been com sidered by the Govevrnment.
