Dominion Tournament

INVERCARGILL, Last Night. For the third day's pllay in ^che women 's hoekey tournament the weather was still fine. Results of Ihe early games were:Eastern Southland A 6 v .Nelson 0, Central Otago 4 v. Ashburton 3, Wellington 6 v. South Otago B 0. At a meeting of - mauiagers of the various teams competing- in the tournament, it was announced that a conference of delegates from the various associations would be hcld in Wellington on September 29. A discussion, t'ook place about the organisation of the tour of the AllEngland women 's hoekey team which is expected to arrive in New Zealand early in June next year. It was stated that the first and only Test match, the venue of which was not yet, known, would probably be played at the end of Jtme. The English women had expressed a desire to be billeted throughout the tour, in pref erence to staying at hotels. The players chosen for New Zealand would require at least a week's leave.
