L. ...oh Formed at Ashley Clinton

WAIPAWA, Last Night. A| a well-attended meeting of residents of Ashley Clinton and Makaretu held in the Ashley Clinton Hall, it was unanimously resolved to fprm a branch of the Ne\y Zealand National Party. The branch* will be called the Ashley Clinton-Makaretu branch. Mr W. N. Walden was appointed chairman and Mr R. Miles secretary. A representativo committee was elocted. Mucli enthusiasm was shown at the meeting, and the membership already secured makes the branch oue of tho strongest in this electorate. Tho electorate secretary has receivcd a letter from the Leader of the National Party, the Hon. Adam Hamilton, expressing appreeiation of the resolution oi conlidence in his leadership passed at the last annual meeting of the Waipawa Electorate Committee, and also his pleasure at the good work being done in the Ccntral Hawke's Bay district.
