Chinese Consul't Advices

WELLINGTON, This Day. The" Chinese Consul has received the following cablegram from Nanking: — "After severe engagements lasting two days, Japanese troops in the vicinity of Lotien were virtually isolated, with no possibility of reeeiving further reinforcements. Chinese forces still liold Chuyutigkuan against powerful Japanese attaclcs. "Meanwliile, a full division of the Japanese Kwantung Army is advancing from Jehol in an attempt to threaten the Chiiese rear and is meeting strong resistance. Brislc fighting continues at the Chinghai and Tuliuehen sector and at the Tsinpn railway."
